Valecia Maclin

General Manager, Strategic Cloud Solutions, Microsoft

Valecia Maclin leads the Microsoft Strategic Cloud Solutions with thought leadership for global cloud solutions for governments.  Ms. Maclin is a recognized leader in Cybersecurity, having led the most extensive cybersecurity program for the US government, and is a former board director for the DoD Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), National Cybersecurity Alliance, and SAFECode.  

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and material science from Duke University; a Master of Science degree in the management of technology from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business; and multiple professional certifications including PMP, CISSP, ISSMP, GSLC, ITIL, and Agile SCRUM Master.

ABOUT US
AMIE is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to expand corporate and government alliances with the (17) ABET accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Schools of Engineering to implement and support programs to attract, educate, graduate and place underrepresented minority students in engineering and computer science careers. The (17) ABET accredited HBCU Schools of Engineering produce over 30% of the African American engineers in the United States while representing less than 3% of the Engineering Universities.
