Edgar Perez

HBCU/HIS Strategist, Global D&I Team, Oracle

Edgar Perez (he/him/his) is the HBCU/HSI Strategist for the global D&I team at Oracle. His goal is to help lower barriers to entry in tech and provide resources to underrepresented students. Edgar works with executives and various Oracle stakeholders to ensure authentic and impactful engagement at HBCUs and HSIs. 

Edgar also manages the leadership academy program at Oracle, which strives to help grow students’ technical, interpersonal, communication, strategic, and corporate skillset, which will help them prepare for future internships and careers in tech. He also manages the Oracle – UNCF partnership, which provides paid summer internships and scholarships to underrepresented STEM students.   

Before joining Oracle, Edgar spent 15 years working in academia. His academic experiences include admissions, business faculty, career coaching, employer relations, experiential learning, recruiting, student advising, and university marketing. His academic and student affairs experiences have allowed him to work at various institutions, including small private nonprofit schools, large state systems, and R1 universities.  

 Edgar received his MBA in organizational leadership from Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles. He currently resides in the Nashville Tennessee area with his wife and daughters.
