Kenneth McKee
Director, Human Resources, Boston Scientific
Ken is currently the Human Resources Director for Boston Scientific’s manufacturing operations in Maple Grove, Minnesota. He is responsible for HR site operations, supporting corporate, divisional, and manufacturing teams to improve and sustain the quality of human lives. In this role, Ken is responsible for compliance and the human resources strategy and delivery for a more than 3,200-employee manufacturing site. The leadership strategy includes direct labor staffing, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and organizational development. Ken and his team have partnered to focus on growth and building a diverse, high-performing team. Ken is an experienced Human Resources professional with a proven track record in multiple industries, including medical devices, automotive, aerospace, energy, pipe, and petrochemical. He has global work experience with companies such as Ford Motor Company, Honeywell, and General Electric.
Ken is a strong advocate for serving underrepresented communities. He is most proud of his accomplishments supporting the AMIE Board and BEYA conferences to attract and recruit HBCU students for meaningful internships in the medical device industry. He was also a founding Sales Bridge ERG member and a Boost Mentor. Ken co-leads a tiger team to provide scholarships to HBCU students. In 2021, $100K was awarded to forty students. In 2022, he led the effort to establish an endowment with NACME for a named scholarship to provide annual scholarships to deserving students. Ken is a native Detroiter. He attended Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Employee Relations and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources. Ken currently lives in the Twin Cities. He is married to LaFonda McKee and a father of one daughter, India, who is attending Howard University, and twin sons, Israel and Isaiah, who are currently in middle school.
